APW - Waltham, Am'n Watch Co, Model 1888, 16J, "Non-Magnetic" marked mvt with non-magnetic alloy balance and hairspring, 16S, heavy 18K gold original J&S (Jeannot & Shiebler) HC with initials to front, gold cuvette with 1898 presentation engraving in German, white enamel DS dial, fancy gilt Louis XV style hands, SW-SS, nickel damascene, s#6028349. Comes as pictured with a gold-filled and fabric fob. Gross weight of assembled watch 79.5 dwt (123.6 g). CONDITION: Mvt: NR, fully wound, balance will tick briefly with a twist, overhaul needed, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, micro-fine scratches and small nicks to balance cock foot, few micro-fine scratches elsewhere; visible portion of dial with scattered outer chapter hls; excellent hour hand and minute hand, fine seconds-hand with some bends; case front opens substantially wide of 90 degrees (to approximately 130 degrees), case shows little wear, numerous dents and dings to band and rear, mild ding to cuvette, good engraving detail; tight bow, crown shows little wear; good glass crystal. Fob shows light wear to gold-filled elements, fabric portion torn in one area and fraying. Estimate: $5,500 - $6,100 JH-80652
