EPW - Swiss, chronograph, 50mm, heavy 14K rose gold original HC, gold cuvette, white enamel SS dial with "E. Gübelin, Lucerne" printed post-production atop dial's glaze, SW-LS, nickel damascene, mvt s#53997, case s#53999, these serial numbers likely intended to match and small discrepancy being an original assembly error. Gross weight of assembled watch 81.1 dwt (126.1 g). As the "E. Gübelin, Lucerne" signature is not concurrent to the firing of the dial but is rather later printed atop the dial glaze, and as this movement's design is not consistent with other Gübelin products we have seen, we suspect the dial signature may be spurious and bidders should assess its potential veracity at their own determination. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, good chronograph function aside from hand currently being out of index, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, some scattered fine to micro-fine scratches; dial signature has been added post-production being printed atop dial glaze, dial otherwise nearly flawless in visible portion with few micro-fine scratches; excellent hands; case shows light wear, numerous dings to band and rear, profuse micro-fine scratches; tight bow, crown shows light wear; ill-fitting glass crystal falls out frequently and will presumably arrive to its next owner loose under case front following shipping.
