EPW - Siguet Freres, Geneve, 51mm, 12K gold original HC with attractive engraving detail, front scene depicting a Knight's Templar sitting and leaning looking across a lake with a castle in the distance, rear with anachronistic scene featuring a tall ship with sails as well as a steam paddle wheel cruising on the water in front of mountains and a castle in the background, signed electrum-gilt cuvette bearing attributes, white enamel dial, KWKS (key not included with this lot), lever escapement with counterpoise, 15J, electrum gilt mvt, s#5500 within case. Gross weight of assembled watch 56.8 dwt (88.3 g). An attractive piece with delightfully unusual engraving detail. CONDITION: Mvt: Running after a twist to start, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, some slight haziness to plates, some scattered fine to micro-fine scratches, medium oxide to winding arbor and some small spots to setting arbor; dial with edge hl at 1, few scattered faint hls and short micro-fine scratches elsewhere, few thin small edge flakes under bezel at one; excellent gilt hour and minute hands, fine seconds-hand; case shows very light wear, small mild dent to lower-right rear, few small mild dings elsewhere, good engraving detail, some spots of wear through gilt cuvette finish; tight bow, push shows medium wear; good glass crystal.
