PW mvt only - Waltham, Canadian Pacific Railway, 21J, 18S, OF model mvt only, white enamel DS dial with Canadian market 13 to 24 hour numerals, SW-SS, fully capped lever escapement, main plate with frosted shield and beaver logo, ornate nickel damascene, s#10042708. A rare movement, we believe the total production of this 21 jewel open face version of the Canadian Pacific Railway to be approximately 500 made. Among this total the quantity of pendant-set versus lever-set is unknown, but we believe the pendant-set version (as the present piece) to be the rarer of the two variants. CONDITION: Mvt: Ticking sluggishly, overhaul recommended, fine cosmetic mvt condition overall, plates with some scattered fine to micro-fine scratches, balance jewel setting is a brass replacement and has scratches and marring to its steel surround, smaller winding wheel has oxide and has been sanded showing resultant micro-fine scratch striations and diminished damascene definition, mvt lettering with loss of black color; dial with hl below seconds-register at 6:30; excellent hands, some finish loss to portions of hour and minute spades.
