Kirova, Russian, marine chronometer, fusee-drive with spring detent escapement, helical hairspring, and 56-hour winding indicator, mounted within gimbaled brass tub in a three-tier wooden box with plaque to front, silvered dial of approximately 4 inch diameter, KWKS (key is present within box as pictured), free-sprung with capped spring detent escapement, bi-metallic compensation balance with helical white metal hairspring, fausses-côtes pattern gilt damascene, s#18234 with matching serial number to dial. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, good winding indicator function, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, few micro-fine scratches; nearly flawless dial; nearly mint hands; tub shows heavy finish loss and medium oxide throughout, gimbals show very little wear and with good function, glass crystal with several light scratches; box shows light wear, one of the brass edge inlays appears to have been reglued, some mild oxide to some of the hardware, good display glass, button latches good.
