APW - Columbus Watch Co., "S.N. Clarkson, Special Railroader" marked mvt, 21J, 18S, gold-filled HC recase with engraved floral details, rear with a small farm church scene within shield, "S.N. Clarkson, Chicago Ill.," marked white enamel DS dial, SW-LS, two-tone gilt and nickel damascene with starburst patterns, rose gilt mvt screws and regulator assembly, s#500574. An attractive and interesting high grade private label which is also notably rare, we've only seen a very small handful of private label marked 21 jewel Columbus watches. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, good two-tone color, scattered fine scratches to plates, a few light scratches near signature, some mild spots, small patch of oxide to regulator; dial with small scratch at 7:30 and hl at 5:30; fine hands with some finish loss and very light oxide; case shows light to medium wear, scattered fine scratches and a few small nicks, some loss of floral engraving detail to front, a few small dings to rear, small spots of wear to brass to raised portions of band reeding, front opens very slightly past 90 degrees, cuvette with some play at hinge and falls closed freely with gravity; tight bow, crown shows very light wear; crystal is missing Estimate: $500 - $1,000 JH-79508
