APW - Elgin, convertible model, 13J, 16S, 14K gold drum style OF original case with attractive engraving detail to rear, gold cuvette with initials, name, and date, white enamel SS dial, SW-LS, gilt mvt, s#605474. Gross weight of assembled watch 72.5 dwt (112.8 g). CONDITION: Mvt: Running, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, plates with splotchy haze and few scattered darker spots, few scattered short micro-fine scratches, ample oxide to center wheel and case screw, scattered tiny spots elsewhere to steel work; dial with profusion of glued chips, fractures, and flakes surrounding upper half of seconds-register, scattered hls, clusters of small to tiny edge flakes under bezel between 12 to 1:30; excellent seconds-hand, fine-plus hour and minute, large spot of oxide to hour shaft, some light oxide and finish loss to minute; case with evident solder repair to rear hinge and small portion of rear planchet, case shows medium wear, extremely mild dent to bezel at 2:30, deep prominent ding to lower-left rear shoulder and scattered lesser dings elsewhere, engine turning detail with areas of full loss, reduced engraving detail; misshapen brass replacement bow pivots freely and has excess play within pendant sockets, crown shows medium wear; clean plastic crystal.
