APW - E. Howard & Co, Boston, Series VII, N-S (just over 19S), heavy 14K gold original B.W.C.Co. HC with beautiful floral engraving detail, dog's head to lower front and rear, gold cuvette engraved "Charles F. Rock from his parents on his 21st birthday, May 21st 1887," white enamel SS dial, umbrella style hands, SW-SS, gilt mvt, s#203257. Gross weight of assembled watch 96.4 dwt (149.9 g). This example is highlighted by its very impressive heavy gold case with attractive engraving detail remaining in superb condition. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, setting mechanism skipping frequently, overhaul recommended for this issue, fine cosmetic mvt condition overall, scratch from right side case screw extending over and beyond barrel arbor area, overall micro-fine scratch striations from past wipings; dial with hl from center to edge at 12, hl above seconds-register to center, small perimeter hl at 8, seconds-register is partially detached from its seat; excellent hands; case shows hardly any wear, no dents, superb engraving detail, inner lip of case rear at mvt case screw positions with some metal loss allowing mvt to drop a slight bit down into case; tight bow, crown shows very little wear; good glass crystals.
