APW - Hamilton, Grade 936 with "Laurel V. Stone Official P.B. & L.E R.R. Co. Inspector Conneaut, Ohio" marked dial, 17J, 18S, nickel OF recase, white enamel DS dial, SW-LS, nickel damascene, s#498920. This watch is highlighted by its rare railroad associated dial marked for Laurel V. Stone, watch inspector for the Pittsburgh, Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroad. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, scattered fine scratches, one barrel bridge screw is a blued replacement with smaller sized head; dial with fractured segment between 7 and 8 which is lifting very slightly above plane of dial and appears likely to have been stabilized with white material and has some surrounding associated hls, hl at 11; fair hands, hour and minute have been overpainted black; case shows medium wear, dent to upper-left rear shoulder, scattered dings, reduced engine turning detail; tight chrome-plated base metal replacement bow, brass crown shows ample wear; glass crystal with scattered scratches.
