APW - Illinois, Washington Watch Co, Army & Navy, 21J, 18S, nickel OF display recase, white enamel DS dial, SW-LS, fully capped lever escapement, nickel damascene, s#2260784. An uncommon watch, we believe total production of the 18 size open face 21 jewel Army and Navy to be approximately 1430 made. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, excellent-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, bright lustrous surfaces, some fine scratches adjacent lower case screw area, few micro-fine scratches elsewhere, balance jewel setting screws are gilt replacements, mvt with a bit of rattle within case when bezel(s) is (are) off despite tight case screws; dial with few outer chapter hls, some small surface nicks with the most visible being within seconds-register below-right of center; excellent hands; case shows little wear, cloudy tarnish with uneven darker areas, some small nicks, no dents; tight bow, crown shows little wear; front glass crystal with few short scratches, good rear glass crystal.
