APW - Waltham, Appleton Tracy & Co, 17J, Model 1883, 18S, 13K gold drum style HC recase marked for retailer E.W. Schurmann of Philadelphia, case with beautiful engraving detail including a seaside home and sailboat scene to rear, monogram initials to front, 1901 inscription inside front, gold cuvette, white enamel DS dial, SW-LS, nickel damascene, gilt mvt screws and regulator assembly, s#5741833. Materials tested via XRF analysis. Gross weight of assembled watch 86.8 dwt (135.1 g). CONDITION: Mvt: Running, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, bright lustrous surfaces, some scattered small fine to micro-fine scratches; visible portion of dial with scattered hls; fine hands, oxide to minute tip; case shows little wear, ding to lower-left perimeter of front, good engraving detail; tight bow thinned somewhat at top, crown shows medium wear with ridge break; good glass crystal.
