APW - Waltham, Wm. Ellery, Model 1879, 11J, 18S, 13K gold drum style original A.W.Co. HC with very attractive engraving detail including a seaside sailboat and home scene to rear, initials to front, gold cuvette, white enamel SS dial, SW-LS, gilt mvt, s#2386529. Materials tested via XRF analysis. Gross weight of assembled watch 78.2 dwt (121.7 g). CONDITION: Mvt: Running, fine cosmetic mvt condition overall, scattered haze to plates, ultra-fine scratch striations from past wiping, balance jewel setting is a replacement; dial with scattered hls; excellent hands; case front opens a small bit wide of 90 degrees, case shows light wear, prominent ding to upper shoulder of front, dent to upper-right shoulder of rear, engraving detail with mild overall reduction and with some areas of full loss of fine detail at portions near shoulders; tight bow, crown shows light wear with some ridge break; crystal is missing.
