APW - Waltham, Vanguard with winding indicator, 23J, 16S, gold-filled OF swingout recase with locomotive to rear, "Waltham Vanguard 23 Jewels" marked white enamel DS dial, SW-LS, fully capped lever escapement, diamond endstone, jeweled barrel, checkerboard center pattern nickel damascene, s#16029753. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, good wind indicator function aside from hand being out of index, excellent-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, few short fine scratches near case screws, light oxide to regulator and some scattered tiny spots elsewhere to steelwork; dial with few short hls and small fracture at 7, faint hl at 12, some scattered micro-fine scratches; excellent hour hand with tiny spot of oxide to tip and shaft, fine-plus seconds and indicator hand, indicator hand a bit longer than appropriate for register, fine minute with ample oxide to tip; case bezel will not screw down flush leaving a thin gap, case shows light to medium wear, prominent dent with nicks to lower-left rear and some scattered small dents elsewhere, scattered small tiny and small to tiny nicks throughout, reduced locomotive detail; tight bow, crown shows light wear; thick glass crystal with very few tiny nicks and micro-fine scratches, few scattered small edge flakes.
