EPW - E.D. Johnson, London, lever fusee, 52mm, heavy 17K gold original HC with slightly inaccurate crowned "18" marking, beautiful engine turning and engraving detail, fixed gold cuvette, white enamel SS dial, KWKS (key not included with this lot), fully capped lever escapement, diamond endstone, gilt mvt with signed gilt locking dust-cap, s#11233 with matching serial number to dial and within case. Materials tested via XRF analysis. Gross weight of assembled watch 77.1 dwt (119.9 g). CONDITION: Mvt: Ticking very sluggishly on a full wind, overhaul recommended, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, some areas of haze, some ultra-fine scratch striations from past wiping; dial with hls between 3 and 4; excellent hands, some bits of oxide to minute tip; case shows very little wear, few dings to front, ding above-left of center rear with corresponding ding to cuvette, excellent engine turning and engraving detail, case front lift spring needs some assistance to open lid; tight bow, push shows little wear; good glass crystal Estimate: $4,700 - $5,300 JH-80932
