Hargraves & Co, Liverpool, centre-seconds chronograph with stop/start function only, 54mm, 18K gold OF original case bearing London hallmarks for 1883, incuse "J.H. & Co." marking, slide on band at 1:30 for stop/start function, gold cuvette, white enamel SS dial, SW-pin-set, lever escapement, 15J, gilt mvt, s#52138 with matching serial number within case. Gross weight of assembled watch 88.2 dwt (137.2 g). CONDITION: Mvt: Ticking sluggishly after needing some prodding to start, good stop/start function, overhaul needed, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, plates with somewhat yellowed tone and some areas of haze, some ultra-fine scratch striations from past wiping; dial with outer chapter hl at 8:30, pinpoint edge nick under bezel at 7; excellent hour hand and minute hand, fine centre-seconds-hand with some oxide; case shows light wear, scattered shallow dents and dings throughout rear, few dings to band; tight bow, crown shows light wear; thick glass crystal with two large internal edge chips.
