Meylan & Co, Brassus, "Isochronal Vibrations" marked mvt, 51mm, heavy 14K rose gold OF original J&S (Jeannot & Shiebler) case, gold cuvette engraved "Dec. 26th, 1886", case was originally also with a glazed mvt observation cover which is no longer present, white enamel DS dial, SW-LS, fully capped lever escapement with counterpoise, 20-21J, snail-cam regulator, fausses-côtes pattern nickel damascene, dial plate near balance with logo in shield of lion rampant facing left, s#34956. Gross weight of assembled watch 75.7 dwt (117.7 g). CONDITION: Mvt: Running, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, cloudy toning to main plate around regulator area, some scattered fine to micro-fine scratches, some areas of ultra-fine scratch striations from wiping; nearly flawless dial with few small fine scratches, some light edge rub under bezel; excellent hour hand and seconds-hand, fine minute hand with areas of finish loss and oxide to tip; case originally was with a glazed mvt observation cover which is no longer present, case shows little wear, shallow crease-type dent toward upper-right of rear, few mild soft dings, short fine scratch crossing bezel by opening lip, some marring of pendant sockets for bow; tight bow, crown shows light wear; good glass crystal.
