EPW - A. Lange & Söhne, Deutsche Uhrenfabrikation (DUF), Glashütte, 53mm, chrome-plated base metal HC with vertical striped detail, silvered guilloché dial, SW-shifting-LS, lever escapement with gold pallet and steel escape wheel, 15J, gilt mvt, s#72144. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, excellent-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, superb gilt plates, larger winding wheel with small patch of oxide having some associated fine scratching at this position from a past attempt at removal, smaller winding wheel with few small bits of oxide; visible portion of dial with few mild surface marks, faint remnants of 13 to 24 hour numerals visible that were presumably once overpainted on dial surface and since removed; excellent hands, some oxide and finish loss to tip of minute; case shows very little wear, no dents, short scratches around opening position of rear, excellent engraving detail, case front leaving a narrow sliver of gap to band when closed; tight bow, crown shows little wear; good glass crystal.
