EPW - Js. Bouvier a Geneve, verge fusee, 54mm, gilt OF original case with delightful polychrome enamel rear image of a woman holding a music book open for an attentive toddler, paste-set bezel and rear perimeter, silk sampler with initials "J.N." inside rear, white enamel dial with winding aperture at 1:30, KWKS (a key is included with this lot as pictured), verge escapement, gilt mvt with pierced and scrolled two-footed balance bridge, s#2302 within case. CONDITION: Mvt: NR, chain is detached from barrel and wrapped around fusee and it appears that the end hook remains present, balance will tick with reverse pressure held to fusee, overhaul needed, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, some scattered fine scratches; dial with hl from 11 to center, scattered short perimeter hls elsewhere, some very small flakes to rim of winding aperture; excellent hour hand, poor minute hand is a blued replacement that has been overpainted a gilt tone; case shows ample wear, no dents, rear enameling substantially intact with small chip of loss left of woman's head, small flake of loss above book, and some perimeter hls, bezel with all pastes present, rear perimeter with three pastes lost, virtually no gilt finish remains to case exterior; tight bow, good domed glass crystal.
