EPW - Rotherhams, London, lever fusee, 51mm, silver HC bearing London hallmarks for 1883, "G.T. White, Christchurch, N.Z." marked white enamel SS dial, KWKS (key not included with this lot), lever escapement, gilt mvt with gilt locking dust-cap, s#56294. This example is made more interesting by its unusual New Zealand retailer-marked dial. CONDITION: Mvt: Ticking sluggishly, overhaul recommended, fine cosmetic mvt condition overall, haze to mvt plates and to locking dust-cap; dial flawless though with some glue on its surface in areas from overflow of a sloppy crystal gluing; fine hands, hour with some bends; case with missing lift spring so front must be lifted open and will fall closed freely with gravity, case shows medium wear, moderate patina, some scratches, denting to rear center, reduced engine turning detail with full loss to portions of shoulders; bow pivots freely, push shows medium wear; glass crystal with tendency to fall out and bezel has an abundance of glue excess so replacement with a better fit crystal would be beneficial.
