PW lot (2) American, OF cases, both run; an interesting pair of innovative 19th century American designs made to target the low-cost end of the market - [1] Auburndale Watch Co, 10-minute timer with 1/4-second jump, stop and start function operated via turning the crown, reset function operated via depressing the crown, 5J, wound via turning a tab on mvt, lever escapement with upright pins on the escape wheel engaging contours in the unjeweled lever, satin nickel finish, s#1604. [2] Waterbury Watch Co (unsigned, our attribution), 6 spoke longwind, 51mm, chrome-plated base metal OF case, paper outer dial chapter surrounding 6 spoke gilt center, SW and set by manually moving hands, duplex escapement, skeletonized gilt mvt rotating within case as watch runs.
